Beware—This Way Lies Spoilers
What is a content warning?
Sometimes called CW (content warning) or TW (trigger warning), a content warning is similar to the content advisory seen at the top of a movie or TV show: They both help viewers/readers make informed decisions about what they watch/read. With movies, the warnings tend to be listed generally, often as a single word—Violence, Nudity, Language, that kind of thing. For books, content warnings tend to be more specific, and they can—and mine indeed do—contain spoilers.
If you would pick up a Stephen King book without a second thought as to the appropriateness of its content, then I invite you to please do the same with my work: go back to the book and turn the page.
