Long Version:
Megan Bledsoe writes stories with a touch of fantasy, from dark to light, using fantastical elements as metaphors to add layers of depth. Inspired by a childhood diet of R.L. Stine, Christopher Pike, and L.J. Smith—and, later, Stephen King and Anne Rice—she crafts novels that take on the world’s unexplained but still undeniable phenomena to keep you up all night.
Megan is the author of Girl, Incorrupted, a love-horror hybrid with minimal heat and an emphasis on horror; The Metanaut, a supernatural thriller set in the California Redwoods; and the fun low-fantasy mystery series Corbin Kohl In Hell.
A native of Washington state, Megan graduated phi beta kappa from the University of Washington with a degree in philosophy and, later, a law degree. While in school, she backpacked through Europe and Egypt and lived in Washington, D.C., London, and Rome, gathering intriguing fodder for her stories. She is now settled in the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her family.
When not writing or reading novels that blend fantasy and reality, Megan enjoys researching the world’s mysteries and exploring places on foot. She loves dogs, especially pugs—heavy on the pugs—and she can usually be spotted walking the neighborhood with her pug, Winnie, on the lookout for hummingbirds and other small wonders.
