Hello!

Where did the month go? I’ve been up to all sorts of things, but I’m realizing as I sit here that none of them are worth mentioning. I read a bunch of books, but none of them were fiction. I did a bunch of writing, but nothing I can mention yet.

So I guess this’ll be quick!

All Things Girl, Incorrupted

I sent out the Girl, Inc. prequel, The Ring, a few weeks ago. It’s about how Fausten got the ring that causes all the trouble in Girl, Inc. and why things soured with Guy. What Else I’ve Been Up To

A lot, but it feels like not much. I did take the official CliftonStrengths test, and it turns out my official top five are slightly different from what I mentioned last month. My official top five are Learner, Positivity, Futuristic, Intellection, and Achiever.

Now that I’m thinking about it, I wonder if my Futuristic Strength (and the fact that my weakest strength is Context, Futuristic’s opposite) is the reason why I generally don’t remember the things I did unless they’re still in play, because I’m still working on it or still using it. Like, I read a bunch of books, but I didn’t log them right away, and now I don’t remember what they were.

Oh well.

Also, I learned that Intellection is the rarest strength seen in the top 5, but it’s in the top 5 of 65% of writers. And it’s in the top 15 of 99% of writers. Interesting, eh?

What I’ve Been Reading

Mostly nonfiction and none of it worth mentioning. I do have a copy of Leigh Bardugo’s The Familiar on hand though. I’ll let you know how it is next time we chat. Until then . . .

Winnie Pug Update

Apparently I was so busy last month that I didn’t take any new pics of Win. This pic’s an older one. She does this cute thing where she tucks her face when she sleeps. We think it’s because she doesn’t like the light.

Sleeping or not, she always notices when I move. Hence the open eye.

Notice all the pug blockers. The silver one’s the bark blocker I mentioned a while back, and that wood piece just above her head is to keep her from walking on the SO’s keyboard.

Poor Win. No one lets her have any fun.
