What I’m Working On Now
Corbin C is done! My beta who said The Metanaut is my best book and that Corbin was just okay said this time that Corbin C was like coming home to old friends. (!!!) 🥰 I was so surprised. That was exactly what I was hoping the series might mean to people, so… pretty darn cool. I’ll give you all the details on Corbin C in March!
I’m now working on something that looks like a trilogy and also like something I have NEVER written before. It is in a genre I never thought I’d write and on a topic I never thought I’d write.
In order to write it, I have to tell myself Don’t worry, no one’s going to read it anyway. 🤪 (For anyone hoping that means I’m writing a romantasy… sorry. It’s not a romantasy.)
And that’s about all I have to say about it for now. Wish me luck!
What I’ve Been Reading
I’ve been reading whatever novels I can find on audio at the library, which is mostly best sellers from the nineties.
B is for Burglar by Sue Grafton – Kinsey Millhone is always an easy-listening read.
The Final Detail by Harlan Coben – Myron Bolitar has some great wry dialogue. I always snicker out loud. It probably helps that the narrator totally gets the assignment.

Winnie Pug Update
Winnie is 3.5 years old now, and she is getting very scheduled. Meal times are always at the same time when you’ve got a pug. That’s a given. But walks and naps and reading (those last two are Winnie’s crook time, where she cuddles with you, preferably in a crook) and even things that have nothing to do with her, like showers and the SO’s walk, are kept to a time on her schedule, and she whines at us until we perform as expected.
It’s great when it’s convenient and what’s on her schedule is what I want to do anyway, but … yeah …
Here she is at my feet as I write this, because it’s half an hour until her bedtime, and I’m supposed to be brushing my teeth and washing my face.
