It was so much fun to write. Meeting consequential new characters, spending time with formerly secretive old characters. I write the Corbin books by the seat of my pants, so it’s all a surprise to me, too. So much fun.

What I’m Working On Now
The project I’m working on now is going to stay secret until it’s done, but I’m making quick progress. I’ll let you know more when I can!
What Else I’ve Been Up To
I saw daffodils and those little purple tulips on my walk today, and we’ve had the windows open the past two days, which is weird for this time of year, but I’ve been enjoying it. I’ve been doing a fairly good job of getting a little more write/life balance happening, by which I mean ending writing a few hours before bed instead of when the pug’s barking at me to go to bed. =) But I’ve mostly just been writing. I’m not complaining. It’s pretty darn cool. But this section might get more interesting in… September? I set myself a year-long writing challenge that ends in September, so, yeah… it could possibly get more interesting here in September.
What I’ve Been Reading
I’m still listening to audiobooks from the nineties (because that’s what’s available at the library when I go searching). This month I listened to:
Drop Shot by Harlan Coben – Another Myron Bolitar mystery with fun dialogue.
The Eight by Katherine Neville – It’s got a Da Vinci Code feel, which I’m always here for, but it came out about a decade before The Da Vinci Code, which is pretty cool.

Winnie Pug Update
Check it out! I got an action shot!
I was so proud of myself. Every time she sees the camera she moves out of the position that was so picture worthy and usually, if she can reach, starts sniffing the lens. But this time—major score!
Winnie’s good. She’s got a friend coming over on Friday, so maybe we’ll have some particularly good pics next month.
